Position: ‎ DUTY MANAGER 

Job Ref No: DM-018/2018 

 Job Summary The Duty Manager is responsible for Handling Ground Operations, control of the operational support team duties; Ramp Services, Passenger/Customer services, Baggage Services, Ticketing and Reservation Officers, on a daily basis during his set duty time. 

He has supervisory Functional, Operational and Administrative control of operational functions during the duty period in the station.

 ‎Working Relation: The Duty Manager reports to the Station Manager and he is the assistant administrative head of the station and performs all the duties of the Station Manager in his/her absence. 

 Job Description: 

 Ensure that the company’s planned flying program is operated safely, legally and efficiently.

  Maintain close liaison with external agencies to ensure that all ancillary services necessary for safe and efficient operation of the company aircraft are available as required. 

 Ensure that disruption to the planned program is rectified as quickly and as efficientlyas possible. 

 Any arising abnormal or unusual situation is attended to safely and legally with minimum risk to the company. 

 Maintain a station log book which is a diary of all happenings including the resumption times and information handed/taken over from incoming/outgoing shift respectively.

  Supervising the Passenger Handling Services and all other activities at the sales, check -in, boarding, baggage sorting areas and information counters. 

 Attending to all radio / SMS messages that relate to Ground Operations. 

 Ensuring that flight summaries including flown coupons are packaged properly and sent on time to the revenue accounts office. 

 Ensure strict compliance of the Ramp Safety Procedures by ramp officers/staff.
