Terms & Conditions for participation in the “Win a year of DSTV with Ecobank” competition1. Scope of application
1.1 This competition is promoted by SuperSport (“the promoter”). The promoters standard Terms and Conditions apply here.
1.2 Information supplied to the promoter will be kept confidential, unless the opt-in tick box have been selected and with exception of sharing with Ecobank for winner selection. Also refer to clause 5.1 and 5.2 for Ecobank confidentiality terms.
1.3 The following Terms and Conditions (heretofore “T&C”) apply to the participation to the “Win a year of DSTV with Ecobank” competition.
1.4 This game will take place from 21 June to 19 July 2019 in the following countries: Cameroon, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
2. Participation
2.1 The competition is open to all persons who, at the moment of their participation, are at least 18 years of age and are permanent residents of one of the countries listed above.
2.2 Legal representatives and employees of Ecobank and of the DStv group, of its advertising and organising partners (heretofore “cooperating partners”) and their relatives are not eligible for participation.
2.3 In order to take part in the competition, participants must initially register at https://supersport.com/passiton, vote for the Ecobank Play of the Day moment. Then, participants must use the digital products and services listed below until 19 July 2019.

2.4 The winner(s) in each country will be the person(s) who has/have performed the largest number of transactions using the services listed in paragraph 2.3.
Winners will be notified in person by telephone, email, or any other available method. Ecobank reserves the right to publish the names of the winners on the competition’s website and on any other communication platform that it will deem necessary. Participants accept to have their names published.
2.5 Ecobank reserves the right to disqualify participants without offering a justification or to exclude them from participating in any future competition: in particular, in case they breach these Terms and Conditions or interfere with or manipulate the process of the competition in any way.
2.6 The winner won’t be able to claim the prize, or in other words the prize is forfeited, if the winner cannot be contacted for 2 weeks via the contact details (mobile number, email address...) that they supplied, or if they don’t respond to the prize notification within 2 weeks, or if it is not possible to send them the prize notification.
2.7 Any payment of the prize in cash is excluded.
3. Delivery of the prizes
3.1 The prize for the competition winner constitutes a decoder and one year subscription to the Compact package, which includes the main football leagues DStv have rights to.
3.2 A representative of the local Ecobank subsidiary will deliver the DStv decoder and one-year subscription to the competition winner for each country.
3.3 Ecobank and SuperSport have 60 days maximum to select and award the prizes to the winners in each country.
3.4 The winners need to complete a prize acceptance letter before the prize can be awarded
3.5 The winners will be notified of the process to follow once they’ve received the decoder prize, and installation is completed, in order to activate their 12-month DStv subscription.
4. Responsibilities
4.1 Ecobank does not guarantee that the competition service or website will be available at all times, that participants will be able to access it, or that it does not contain any technical errors.
4.2 Ecobank reserves the right to interrupt a competition before its planned deadline without informing participants, or to interrupt the operation of the competition’s website, should outside interference or technical problems prevent the reliable and unencumbered registration of participants.
5. Confidentiality and right of withdrawal
5.1 If the participant does not give their consent for the treatment and further usage of the data entered in order to participate in the competition, including their personal details, these will be electronically saved, processed and used by Ecobank exclusively for the purposes of the competition (specifically, for the execution and the evaluation of the competition and the identification of the winners) in machine-readable format. If a cooperating partner is involved in the competition, Ecobank reserves the right to forward the data of the winner to the cooperating partner for the purpose of prize distribution (specifically, to deliver the prize). The winners’ data will also be shared with the relevant authorities for accounting purposes, as required by law. Ecobank only records data as necessary and as authorised by law.
5.2 Ecobank complies with current data protection regulations during the collection, treatment, and utilisation of personal data. A participant can withdraw their consent to the registration and utilisation of their personal data at any time via email. By deleting their data, the participant agrees that their participation in the competition will end. If it is impossible to effect such deletion because of legal data preservation requirements, any further use of the data to be deleted will be blocked until the expiry of the deletion restrictions.
6. Final provisions
6.1 Should any of the clauses of these Terms and Conditions be or become invalid and/or not applicable, the validity of all other clauses of these Terms and Conditions will not be affected.
6.2 The current terms and conditions are subject to the laws of any participating country. A copy will be supplied to any person requesting it at the following address: Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, 2365, Boulevard du Mono, B.P. 3261, Lomé – Togo
6.3 Any outstanding dispute, which cannot be resolved amicably, will be taken to the tribunal of Ecobank’s head office at the country in which the participant resides.
