HOW TO ENTER:
• Read Terms and Conditions.
• Download the NESCAFÉ One Song Track here.
• Create your lyrics.

• Perform your song to the NESCAFÉ One Song track in your own style in French, English or any African language.

• Record your performance in a simple direct to camera video. Total length of your performance must not exceed one minute. Record your video in portrait format.

• Upload your video and written lyrics (in French or English) to your Facebook and/or Instagram page and tag our NESCAFÉ page with #NESCAFÉOneSong and
#NESCAFÉOneSongNigeria .

• Get your friends and family to like and share your song.

• Keep enjoying your NESCAFÉ and stay strong and positive.

What is NESCAFÉ One Song?
One Song is a music contest that provides a platform for contestants to create and send messages of positivity through music.
We want to encourage our fans to spread positivity at all times, by writing their own inspirational lyrics to inspire hope and connect with the indomitable spirit to all of West Africa.

All the winning entries will be composed into one single song, regardless of language

Where can I download the NESCAFÉ One Song track?

Can I use my own track without using the One Song Track?
No, you have to work with the One Song Track instrumental.

Can I re-edit the One Song track?
No, you have to work with the One Song Track instrumental.

Is there an age limit for participation?
There is no age limit, but you must be 18 years or older.

Do I need to be a professional musician to participate?
No, everyone can participate.

Who can participate in the NECAFÉ One Song contest?
You must be an African who currently resides in any of the six countries:
Burkina Faso,
Cameroon,
Cote D’Ivoire,
Ghana,
Nigeria or Senegal.

I am not a citizen but resident in the country, can I participate?
Yes, you can be a citizen of any African country who resides in any of the listed countries, but your entry will be tagged as representing your country of residence.

Can I partner with someone to participate?
Yes, but all entries a considered as a single entry, regardless of the number of people who collaborated to create it.

Is there a limit to the number of songs I can enter?
Yes, each participant, or joint group of paraticipants, can submit only one (1) entry

Can my lyrics be in multiple languages?
Yes, can sing your song in English, French or any African language, but must also send your written lyrics to us in either English or French.

Can I record my video with my smartphone or do I need a professional video camera?
Yes, you can use your smart phone.

Do I need to have a NESCAFÉ product in my video?
No, you do not need to show NESCAFÉ, but we welcome any brand love.

How do I submit my song?
Submit your video by posting in on your page with the hashtags
# NESCAFÉOneSong and
# NESCAFÉ (Country), and also send your entry to our NESCAFÉ page vie direct message.

How long should my video be?
Your video should not be longer than one (1) minute

What video format should my entry be in?
Your video can be in MP4 or MOV. format.

How and where should my lyrics be submitted?
Lyrics should be included in the posting caption and via direct message to us in English or French along with your video.

What is the deadline for entries?
Entries close at midnight on June 21st, 2020.

Can I submit my entry to both my Facebook and Instagram pages?
No, entries must be made only once on your preferred platform. We recommend posting to the platform where you have the most followers for maximum votes

What are the grounds for disqualification?
Any submissions which do not follow the entry instructions and the Terms & Conditions will be disqualified.

Will I be contacted if my entry is submitted?
Yes, if you are a winner your contact information will be requested via the social platforms and your will be contacted via phone, Whatsapp or SMS.

Will I be notified if my entry is shortlisted?
Yes, you will be notified and your entry will be re-posted to the NESCAFÉ page.

Do I still own the copyrights to my song once it has been entered into the contest?
NESCAFÉ shall co-own the intellectual property rights in all songs that are created and submitted by participants for the competition. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions for further details.

How will the winner of the NESCAFÉ One Song be selected?
Entries will first be shortlisted by the NESCAFÉ team to the final three per country and final winners will be selected via popular votes on the social platforms.

Prize
Prizes shall be awarded as follows:
7.2 The six (6) Overall Prize Winners will be given a cash prize of three thousand United States dollars (US$3,000.00). The cash prizes will be awarded to the winners in their respective countries in the local currency equivalents, based on prevailing exchange rate on the date of winner selection.

7.3 The Overall Winning Songs will be made into one (1) inspiring thematic, anthemic tune for NESCAFÉ and named the NESCAFÉ One Song.

7.4 The award of prizes shall be subject to Participants’ compliance with the T&C’s of the Competition.

7.5 Prizes are only redeemable in the respective countries of Prize Winners and are not exchangeable or transferable.

When will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced in the month of July.

The Competition starts on 25th May, 2020 at 00:00:01 GMT and ends on 5thJuly, 2020 at 23:59:59 GMT (“Competition Period”). After 21stJune, 2020, no further entries will be permitted or considered.
