Meet the shortlisted listed winner of $300 in the FCMB Epic Pitch Competition

It’s fresh and ready to go live! Join us on 28th May 2020 for the maiden Hub One EPIC Pitch, which will hold digitally.

Five Start-ups shortlisted from a pool of 105 applicants before the COVID-19 induced restrictions, will go head-to-head in a virtual pitching competition before a panel of judges. 

The winner gets awarded N100,000 (US$300) towards the growth of their business, as well as the chance to attract investors, and potentially partner with FCMB.

Meet the shortlisted Start-ups:

(1) GoPaxy: a B2B2C Fintech software solution (Cellular POS) providing decentralized checkout solutions to physical retail stores to reduce cashier theft and improve KYC.

(2) Gradforth: an Edu-tech company that connects secondary school leavers and youths who cannot afford tertiary education fees to massive open online certification courses from Foreign and African based institutions.

(3) Xcard: a mobile multi-banking wallet that enables consumers consolidate all their bank accounts to send money and make seamless point-of-sale payments to offline merchants via SMS, WhatsApp, or mobile app.

(4) Friendsvow: a personal financial management app that helps friends, family, colleagues save money together and get instant financial credit from their savings.

(5) One kiosk: an e-commerce platform that facilitates the supply of goods from the nearest retailer to customers to reduce the cost of delivery and create opportunities small business owners.

Epic Pitch is designed to help early stage start-ups get feedback, funding and so much more by creating an avenue for them to expose their ideas to venture capitalists, investors, and potential partners.
