How to attract snail?
Snail is been attract with its foods. snail have food that makes them to come around. It has high sense of smell that can make them to come out from their hiding place to eat the trap food.
Snail local food?
For purposes of cultivation, the snails are kept in a dark place in a wired cage with dry straw or dry wood. Coppiced wine-grape vines are often used for this purpose. During the rainy period, the snails come out of hibernation and release most of their mucus onto the dry wood/straw.

1)cassava (akpu) is one the best food for snail, make sure you cut the cassava but if you want to attract snail use the rotten smell cassava.
2)ripped fresh (ujuru, ado,ogbono) fruit cut the ogbono fruit into two (not the seed) as seen in pictures.
3)Ripped Palm nut: make sure the back of the nut is yellowish
4) ripped banana skin: use the peeled banana skin to attract or feed snail.
5) ripped pineapple, breadfruit, ripped orange and also ripped sweet fruits.
Snail food time
Snail search for food during the night hour. To get enough snail you should go for night or early in the morning 3 to 4 am because once the day breaks the snails hides.
To get snail during the days you need to use stick to stir the dirty muddy area, dark place, where dirty or un used material are packed.
How to protect snail?
After gathering snails use a half cut drum or any round old plate to cover your snail.
Precaution: make sure that you put heavy material on top of the drum or plate lids because snail lift cover lids with its shell.
Don't mix red snail with other species of snail.
Type of land snail?

Black snail: black snails are those snails that are huge, both the meat and it shell always look big. It is more expensive than others . It is called black snail because it's shell and meat are somehow black.
Red snail : it is also call soldier snail, it is small in nature,somehow red in colour. It is called soldier because it kills other species of snails.
White snail: it also small even at mature stage, it always white in colour as seen in the picture.
Did snail lay eggs?
Yes snail lay 10 to 25 eggs within 2 to 3 months. Mostly the black snail are the one that lays egg often.
Precaution : don't mix the red snail with other species of snails because the Red snail kill them.
Hatched snails can easily escape from tiny holes so, make sure you separate big one from the small one.
How much can I sell snail.
During season : big one is N50 while the small is N20 or N30 each.
Out of season: Big is 80 to N100 while the small is 50 to 70 naira.
