Meet Goodluck Okom, an eight-year-old boy who had suffered a great ordeal as a result of a botched appendectomy procedure by a local doctor. Goodluck was in constant pain and his condition deteriorated rapidly – he was in dire need of a corrective surgery that could save his life, which his family unfortunately could not afford.
The story of Goodluck caught the attention of Airtel and through the Employee Volunteer Scheme, the employees of Airtel donated the sum of N1, 000, 000 to his family so they could proceed with the corrective surgery. Today, Goodluck is healthy and full of life and his family is grateful to Airtel’s employees for their selflessness in saving their son’s life.
