Not all seemingly healthy foods are created equally. Here are five foods to strictly avoid if you are on a diet.
Granola
Most people believe that this yummy cereal is diet friendly. However, few realize that in as little as one-half cup, more than 400 calories is being ingested.
Muffins
They keep getting bigger and bigger j and no matter if it’s a large bran, blueberry, or banana nut muffin, they all pack a whopping 400- 600 calories. Don’t look at muffins as diet food.
Wraps
If you are trying to make a healthier carbohydrate  choice, the last  thing you need is a wrap of Sharwama. A  sandwich is probably better. Many of the wraps  sold around are up to 300 calories  minus  contents.
Dried fruit
Dehydrated fruit doesn’t mean lower calories. One cup of fresh grapes is 70 calories versus one cup of raisins which is 300 calories. So stick with fresh whole fruit.
Salads
All the lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, and other vegetables are excellent choices,but it is the toppings and dressings that make salads a not-so-diet friendly option.  It is not uncommon to eat a large salad and end up consuming over 1,000 calories at one meal. Keep eating salads, but stay off the dressing.
