TERMS AND CONDITIONS GOVERNING PARTICIPATION IN THE MAGGI STAR® MEGA MILLION PROMOTION (“THE PROMOTION’’) 

The following terms and conditions apply exclusively to the above-mentioned Promotion. By participating in the Promotion, all participants are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions herein below provided: ‎

1. The Promotion is organized by Nestlé Nigeria Plc and it is managed and executed by various contracted service providers including Interswitch Ltd (hereinafter jointly referred to as “the Organizers”). 

2. All prizes are offered by Nestlé Nigeria Plc, but distributed by Interswitch Limited

3. The Promotion will run from 1 October 2019 to 31 October 2019 subject to 

extension at the discretion of the Organizers. 

‎

4. By participating in the Promotion, all participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which are subject to the exclusive interpretation of the Organizers, whose decision regarding any dispute shall be final and binding. The Organizers reserve the right to amend, modify or change these terms and conditions at any time during the Promotion with or without notice to the participants.

5. Any alteration to the terms and conditions and or any development relating to the Promotion shall be deemed to have been sufficiently communicated to the participants, by the Organizers by publishing such notice on this platform.

6. Entry is open to residents and citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria except 

for employees of the Organizers and immediate members of their families.

7. Only individuals of the age of 18 and above are eligible to participate in the 

Promotion.

8. N1 Million is to be won by 124 participants while other participants can win 

smaller cash prizes and recharge cards.

9. The Promotion is open to the eligible participants with a duly registered mobile phone SIM with any of the network providers in Nigeria namely MTN, Airtel, Glo and 9Mobile. However, for participants opting to use the USSD platform, participants must have a duly registered mobile phone SIM with MTN, Glo or 9Mobile within Nigeria. Participants shall be responsible for the cost of data where required.

10. Each participant can register and participate in the Promotion without any limit to the number of times, provided that such entries are made during the pendency of the Promotion and the participants do not use any unauthorized tools for the participation. However the star prize of 1 Million Naira can only be awarded once per person during the span of the Promotion.

11. Each participant who wins a cash prize shall have and present a valid Federal Government recognized identity card. In case a participant lacks such an identity card, he/she forfeits the prize and no further communication will be entered in relation to such forfeited prize.

12. Prize won shall not be transferable in any manner whatsoever.

13. To participate in the Promotion, participants will be required to do the following: 

a) Participants shall present empty Maggi Star® wraps at Redemption Centres within 

each region across the federation to win prizes. b) Each participant shall present minimum of 100 wraps to win N100 worth of airtime 

daily. c) The first two participants who present minimum of 100 wraps daily in each Redemption Centre wins N1000 each to be paid through electronic money transfer. d) The participants who presents highest number of wraps cumulatively within a region each week gets a star prize of N1,000,000. Where there is a tie within a region, the first among the affected consumers to produce additional 500 empty wraps wins the star prize.

14. For participants who win cash, confirmation of the prizes won will be made via SMS to the participants, and a follow-up phone call may be also made to the participants depending on the nature of prize won.

15. Names of winners MAY be published in newspapers, on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.), or on the Organizers’ website(s) as may be determined by the organizers. By participating in this Promo, participants hereby give their unreserved consent to such publication. 16. The prizes to be won are limited solely to those herein stated. The Organizers shall not offer any other prize and no compensation and or gift shall be given to any participant in any manner and for any reason whatsoever.

17. Entries that are incomplete, illegible or indecipherable will not be valid and will be deemed void. All decisions on entries are at the sole discretion of the Organizers and are final. No liability will be accepted by the Organizers for any lost, damaged, misdirected, incorrect or late participations, or for any technical difficulties that may affect the final result of the Promotion.

18. The Organizers reserve the right to substitute the prizes with prizes which are equivalent at any time during the Promotion at their sole discretion. The Organizers also reserve the sole right to change, substitute, withdraw, revoke or otherwise limit the scope of the Promotion or the prizes and or any matter appurtenant to the promotion at any time during the promotion. The Organizers may, if for any technical or legal reasons, the proper organization and/or execution of the Promotion can no longer be guaranteed halt and or cancel the Promotion. In the event of cancellation of the Promotion, the prizes shall immediately lapse without entitlement.

19. The prizes to be won are offered by Nestlé Nigeria Plc.

20. The prizes to be won are not transferable to another individual and no other alternative(s) will be offered, unless otherwise explicitly stated by the Organizers in writing. The Organizers do not guarantee the appropriateness or suitability or fitness of any prize, in particular not in relation to a participant’s personal sensitivities including but not limited to medical, religious or age.

21. The winners shall bear all and any costs, taxes, duties, contributions and similar 

expenses that may arise in connection with the prize(s) won.

22. While participating in this Promo, participants will be prompted to provide Organizers with certain personal information/data that will be used to contact or identify participants or publish details of winners. Such information may include, but is not limited to participant’s name, e-mailing address, telephone number etc. ("Personal Information").Participants hereby give their consent to the Organizers to publish their personal information. 

23. Cash prizes are offered on the presumption that participants who win such cash prizes have valid bank accounts and the prizes may be forfeited where a participant has no bank account or electronic money transfer through mobile banking agent is not possible. 

24. By participating in the Promotion, each participant agrees to the use of his name, photograph, video footage, disclosure of the state of residence and other relevant bio-data by the Organizers for commercial purpose or in compliance with relevant laws/regulations. Each participant hereby gives his consent to the Organizers jointly and severally to use any photographs or video footage of the participants in any lawful medium and in perpetuity and without any prize/compensation to the participant.

25. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winner(s) where applicable. If the winner(s) cannot be contacted using reasonable efforts, are unable to claim the prizes for any reason or are unable to comply with these terms and conditions, the Organizers reserve the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant without any liability to the participant who could not be contacted.

26. Failure to claim any prize within 5 working days of notification by Organizers or failure to meet the eligibility requirements will result in forfeiture of the prize.

​27. The decision of the Organizers in relation to any aspect of the Promotion is final 

and no further correspondence will be entered into with any participant.

28. In the event of a discrepancy between these terms and conditions and the details in the promotional material (or any other terms and conditions provided/referred to at the time of entry), these terms and conditions shall prevail.

29. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria.

30. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held by any court or other competent authority to be void or unenforceable, the other provisions of these Terms and conditions and the remainder of the affected provisions shall continue to be valid.

TAKE NOTICE that the Organizers do not require any participant to send, give and or offer money, airtime or any consideration in any manner to any person whatsoever to participate in the Promotion and or qualify for any prize before, during and or after the Promotion. The Organizers shall therefore not be responsible for any loss or damage incurred by any person in relation to this Promotion in any manner whatsoever.
