ENTRY IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES.
The competition details form part of these terms and conditions by the promoter. (Nigerian Breweries PLC (manufacturers of Maltina).
Maltina “TEACHER OF THE YEAR”promotion also called “MALTINA That One Teacher CHALLENGE” is aimed at giving us the opportunity to reward our special teachers here on earth.
Terms and Conditions

• In order to enter the challenge, you must agree to these Official Rules (“Rules”). Therefore, please read these Rules prior to entry to ensure you understand and agree. You agree that submission of an entry in the Challenge constitutes agreement to these rules. Participation is open to residents of the Federal Republic of Nigeria except employees of Nigerian Breweries PLC and their immediate families (parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, siblings, mothers-in-law, father, brother, sister, daughter and son- and spouses), the distributor team and relatives, any advertising agency or web company connected with the promoter or any such person's subsidiary or associated companies, agents or members of their families or household are excluded from the challenge. Any participation of these persons in the challenge is a violation of this term and shall be considered automatically void.

Nigerian Breweries PLC (NB PLC) reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all participants. NB PLC has the right to withdraw or cancel the prize-winning if the person(s) is identified to be one among the above.

• Nomination is restricted to a teacher who has taught you, you are to nominate a teacher you have experienced either at the primary, secondary or tertiary level to be the Maltina That One Teacher 2019. Teachers can’t nominate themselves.
• Nomination isn’t restricted to teachers in service. You can nominate a teacher who is either retired or in service.

CONTEST PERIOD

• The "Maltina That One Teacher” Challenge ("That One Teacher Challenge") commences on 1st August 2019 and ends on 26th August 2019. Information on how to enter form part of these terms and conditions. Participation in this challenge is deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions. NB PLC has the right to extend or reduce this period at their discretion.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

• NB PLC reserves the right to amend or alter the terms of the competition at any time and reject entries from entrants not conforming to the rules of the challenge as clearly stated in this document or as may be amended or altered from time to time.
• In the event, a participant is identified to be faulting (creating counterfeit engagement or validation of posts) NB PLC reserves the right to block the participant from the challenge. In such case, no notification would be given to the participant
• Events may occur that result in NB PLC extending, refusing, reclaiming, canceling, terminating, modifying or suspending the challenge, these terms and/or the awarding of prize(s) at any point and for any reason. These events include but are not limited to a third party's illegal activity, technical difficulties and/or any other reasons beyond the control of NB PLC and accordingly the entrant agrees that the Organization shall have no liability as a result thereof.
• The decision of NB PLC in all promotional matters is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• All entries will be checked by the NB PLC’s administrator. Any report or comment of participants which has abusive, defamatory or offensive content and rumours about NB PLC or any natural or legal person and any reference offending the good morals or legality of the Organization, will be excluded from the challenge.
• The gift prizes and Grand Prize where stated, are not transferable to another individual and no other alternatives will be offered; unless otherwise stated.
• Winners will not be asked to pay to claim the physical gifts or other gifts to be included in the period of the challenge.
• NB PLC has also the ability to exclude from the contest, any participant performing malicious actions in this challenge.
• Personal data entered during the registration, including name, phone number, maybe processed, stored, shared and otherwise used for the marketing and promotional purposes by NB PLC only in line with Nigerian Breweries PLC PLC’ s Privacy Policy and Data Protection Law.
• All participants by virtue of entering this challenge give NB PLC their unreserved and irrevocable consent to use their pictures, audio and video footage in National newspapers, TV, radio and social media pages for marketing and publicity purposes.

ELIGIBILITY

• To be eligible to participate in the challenge, entrants must be 18 years or older.
• To win the Grand Prize, the teachers must alive and resident in Nigeria.
• Story by the student must be touching and validated by other school mates
• 10 entries with the highest engagement (comments, shares, and likes- in that order) will be shortlisted.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

• Participants will be required to upload a minute video of their experience with their teachers and how they have impacted their lives on Instagram.
• Tag Maltina using the hashtags#ThatOneTeacher #MaltinaNG
• Get your friends/schoolmates to like, comment on their own experience with the teacher
• The more comments, shares and likes you get, the more your chances of winning.
• Entries that are incomplete, illegible, indecipherable will not be valid and deemed void.
• All entries are to be made by any other person on behalf of a deserving teacher.

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS

• Winners will be selected by a two-pronged approach:

1. Story corroboration By other students: Entries are to be corroborated by members of the public as comments on the posts.
2. 10 entries with the highest comments, shares and likes in that order will be shortlisted

• Upon shortlist of the 10 most engaging, touching and impactful stories, the participants will be contacted to give us the details of the teachers- Full name, the school where they taught, phone number/online details (whichever is available)
• We will go to the school to verify and get accurate details
• We will contact these teachers to verify their availability
• The top 10 shortlisted participants will be notified by the Maltina team on the date and time for the grand finale event. NB PLC reserves the right to cancel the winning in case the winner (s) do not turn up as per the scheduled day, date, time. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winner(s). If the winner(s) cannot be contacted, or are unable to comply with these terms and conditions, NB PLC reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible shortlisted entrant.
• Failure to respond and failure to meet the eligibility requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize.
• The decision of NB PLC is final based on the criteria set out in the challenge and no correspondence will be entered into over this decision.
• Competitions may be modified or withdrawn at any time. The changes in the competition rules will be published on Maltina’s Social Media pages.
• In the event of a discrepancy between these standard terms and conditions and the details in the communication material (or any other terms and conditions provided/referred to at the time of entry), these standard terms and conditions shall prevail.

REDEMPTION

• All physical prizes in this promotion are only redeemable upon the presentation of a valid identity card such as a Driver's license, International passport and voter’s card.
• If a participant does not provide the data required at shortlisting that participant’s entry will be ineligible and void.
• NB PLC’s decision is final in all matters related to this challenge and no correspondence will be entered into.
• NB PLC will be the final arbiter in any decision and the decision will be final and binding.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

• The team will request winners’ name, number, location to decipher queries as needed
• The general public can send messages to the brand across platforms between official hours to ask questions/confirm about the challenge. Automated responses will be put in place to respond to calls outside working hours.

TAXES:

• Maltina Nigeria is not liable to pay any taxes on behalf of the winners. It shall be the responsibility of winners to pay all applicable taxes as may be required under the Federal and State government taxation laws.

PRIVACY:

• Entrants agree that personal data entered during the registration, including name, phone number, maybe processed, stored, shared and otherwise used for the marketing and promotional purposes by Nigerian Breweries PLC PLC & its partners only.
  
• A list of top 10 shortlisted entries will be available in National newspapers, television, social media pages of NB PLC and agencies. Names, pictures, and video footage may be included.
• Participants also understand that his/her data may be used by NB PLC in order to verify an entrant’s identity, postal address and telephone number in the event an entry qualifies for a grand prize.

PUBLICITY

• By participating in this challenge, participants unequivocally and irrevocably consent to the use of their name, screen-name, images, photographs, winning sums, given social media name and geographical location for advertising, promotional and news purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
